Pilgrim
The Pilgrim is an adventurous cleric who must rely on his alliance with the Order and his ability to swiftly dispatch Medium opponents. With better weapons and armor he can defeat heavier opponents, but he is very slow and must choose his battles cautiously. He can wield powerful white magic, and his choice of a starting spell is critical in determining his strategy.

Strategy
Exorcise. Or Small Blessing. The only Type VII spell that the Pilgrim can cast without access to other colours is Control Bats. However, he can enchant tiles with his two II chits, so he may be able to use the VII spells like Protection From Magic or Sense Danger.
The Pilgrim would really rock if he is able to get his hands on an M weapon like an axe (Guard are Neutral). Buying weapons from the Order would be easier, but since he has only one H fight chit, it is probably more economical to Hire one instead. I dream of the day when the Pilgrim finds the Enchanted Meadow and loots the Truesteel Sword.
Always try to Hire a knight from the Order at the beginning of the game. You won't be able to protect yourself much with your stick, but with a tough guy at your side you should be able to break through most monsters.
The Pilgrim need not fear Curses, since his Exorcise spell will break them, so it is quite appropriate to put VPs into Spells and seek out the Shrine and Statue. Demons will not bother him, so long has he has one chit enchanted to provide White magic - preferably the slower I6* chit. However, the Pilgrim should never go into a clearing/tile containing an Altar, Shrine or Statue without first Alerting a magic chit. Demons will not block or attack, but they are still a good source of Fame and Notoriety. Always remember to rest and re-enchant the chit.
The Good Book is very good for the Pilgrim. He can learn all of its spells, and it gives him effectively an extra Type I chit that does not fatigue and casts at Time 0. The Sacred Grail is a portable source of White magic - but if you've got VPs in Fame, it's definitely worth returning the Grail to the Order.
