Keeping vigil - Unity's death
Up to Bluebook
They carried Unity’s body down to one of the staterooms, laying him down careful. Relena watched Kelda carefully out of the corner of her eye as the sniper laid Unity’s sword on his chest, folding his blooded hands over the hilt.
“When I get back to the bridge I’ll lowered the temperature in here,” The captain said but got little more than a nod out of Kelda.
Kelda climbed up on the bench and settled herself cross-legged, her hands resting in her lap, her eyes locked on Unity’s still chest. Her body language closed and neutral but for the stillness and patience of a sniper.
“Kelda? I’m not sure you should...” Relena started.
Kelda turned her ice blue eyes on the Captain, empty and emotionless. “Someone needs sit vigil.” Kelda’s voice carried her iron resolve. This wasn’t something she’d be dissuaded of easily.
