Relena/Lance

Reading the message board roleplaying posts and the various things that have happened in session makes me think how glad I am this isn't a television series. The amount of animosity between the characters implies huge amounts of sexual tension :)

funny, because from the character sheets it seemed to me there was something between Lance and Noumalia...

And from the bluebooking, I can see something developing between Kelda and Unity...

Tough girls always fall for the nice guys :)

Seriously though - it may not necessarily be so, especially as Unity starts getting more policing in mindset. Although I'm not sure of the mores of his homeplanet - they may have been fine with mixed friendships.

I understand it's weird in the USA, for example - to have friends of the opposite sex, people assume you're dating or having an affair or something. Usually friends that go out together are all the same sex. Mind you, this was from a friend's french friend - who thought the whole idea of same sex friendships to be very boring indeed.

Your home planet was, pretty much, Amish. You were expected to get married to a nice local girl, have nine children and build a barn. Friendship didn't really count - it was community that was important, and everyone had their role in their community.

Kelda would not have fit in. At all.

I guess it will depend a lot on how other members of the team read it. I can imagine Relena or the Duchess having walked passed while Kelda was holding Unity’s hand. I’m expecting to cope a ribbing from the one of others over it.

This all comes out of a vague revelation I had that in many ways Unity is the antigen to Kelda. Kelda in her role as the trained killer for the crew is 'the necessary evil'. It follows in her mind that Unity conversely is 'the necessary good' and she will fight to protect that. This thought has made her suddenly protective of Unity.

However having said that; you never know about these things...a lot can depend on other people’s reactions.
