The Mystic Shark

Class: Light Freighter. Registered to Relena Horvald

Originally the Shark was a dracan military transport. Somehow it came into the possession of the salvager Etukla, who sold it to Relena Horvald for a sizeable downpayment. Etukla had the ship refitted as a light freighter capable of carrying small cargoes.

Being originally of draca manufacture, the interior of the ship is somewhat spartan. Draca never were great interior decorators. Etukla made the ship habitable by non-draca, but it seems that there were some draca systems that he either didn't understand or chose to cover up.

Interior

The only way onto the ship is through the cargo bay, on the lower deck. The bay is sealed, and can carry about five tons of cargo. Forward of the cargo bay there is an airlock, sealed with iris valves. There is a boarding tube mechanism around the airlock door which allows ship-to-ship docking. The airlock leads to a stairwell to the main deck.

The stairwell comes up into the aft section of the main deck. An iris valve seals the Engineering section from the rest of the ship. Two corridors run forward, each with egress to three staterooms. In between the corridors are found the medical/research lab and the captain's cabin/office. Note that the ship has six staterooms, of which only four are in use.

The two corridors open onto the common area, with lounge, entertainment and galley facilities. A hatch in the ceiling leads to the ship's turret.

The forwardmost accessible part of the ship is the bridge, sealed off from the common area by an iris valve. The bridge contains the Captain's Nest, as well as helm and tactical stations. The remainder of the interior of the hull is dedicated to machinery, life support and fuel storage.
