Photography Party
My 38th Birthday Party
Date: Saturday 15th December 2007, starting at around 7:30 or when you turn up. Location: 7 Maxworthy St, Kambah Photography CompetitionWe've all got digital cameras now - well, most of us do. Okay, some of us. Those of us who have digital cameras doubtless have scads of photos hanging around on our hard disks. Select two of your best and email them to me. I'll arrange to have them printed, and they will be on display during the party. The judging panel will be made up of everyone who submitted photos. The photos will be displayed anonymously, and you can talk up your own photo as much as you like - but don't let on it's yours, or you'll be disqualified! There will be two prizes on offer. I don't know what they will be yet. One prize will be open to anybody - even non-photographers. The winner is the first person to guess the photographer of the winning prize. The other prize goes to that photographer. Regular party rules applyYou may invite others who did not receive this invitation, but you are responsible for them. If they make an ass of themselves, it is up to you to deal with it. There are to be no out-of-stomach experiences inside the house. "No" means no. Bring munchies. Note to everybody. I encourage you to bring your cameras and take photos at the party. However, some people may not want their photograph to be taken. This is inviolate. Please do everything possible to respect other people's wishes. If you do not want your photo taken, please let me know and I'll make sure everyone with a camera knows. Please dress upSince there is likely to be some photography going on, I'd like people to be looking their best. I'm not suggesting black tie (unless you think that's your best), but I don't want a shorts-and-t-shirts kind of party. So put a little effort into your outfit for the night. I encourage invitees to follow last year's theme. No PresentsI don't buy anyone else birthday presents, so I don't see any reason why anybody should buy me one. |
